Do you ever imagine what you want to see on your walls but just can't find it in your photo library?
The same thing happened to me when I was looking for artwork to decorate our newborn's room. I had in mind a whimsical, boyish looking room so I decided to go with an owl themed nursery.
I see the owl theme everywhere but it's all in pink, so I decided to go with the authentic vintage look you find at antique stores. No luck there either! All the owls were scarey and creepy looking (I do not want my child to be scarred for life, thank you).
So I did the next best thing... searched the web for the perfect image. I came across a stock image website where I found hundreds of owl images, some great... some not so great. I decided on this graphic, although it did not match the color scheme of the room at first, it did have an owl and the pattern reflected other elements of the room, like his mobile.
I took this digital graphic to Fort Worth Camera and their Image Center Department helped me complete my vision. I also brought them an image of the room along with the measurements of the wall so they were able to suggest the proper size. They also provided their Photoshop services to change the hue and overall color of the image to make it fit with the room color scheme. They promptly suggested to print this image on a canvas so I could appreciate it forever. The canvas is stretched onto a light-weight wood frame and is coated with a UV waterproof surface... You know where I'm going with this? Yes, the canvas is the safest thing to put in your baby's room. It is light-weight, so if it happens to fall off the wall anywhere near your baby, the wost damage it can do is cause a bump. No worries of shattering glass! When little messy fingers are old enough to touch, the UV protective coating will make it easy for you to wipe the dirt right off.
